Well Lily has been with us for a whole week now and we've already had some big moments; first at home bath, first night of no sleep for mom and dad, first trip to the doctor, and first time peeing on her father during a diaper change. It's a whole ton of fun. Don't worry about the doctor thing, it was just her check up and he said, "She's perfect, congratulations." We think she's pretty cute too, just check her out.

By the way Jonathon and Kayla have really taken to this big brother and sister thing. They are always asking to hold her and help out whenever they can. Here is their first solo holding attempts. (Don't worry Mom and Dad are just out of the frame ready to catch)

After the doctor's visit we picked the kids up from school and took Lily inside and Jonathon and Kayla wasted no time showing her off to anyone within earshot. It's pretty darn cute how much they lover her, hopefully that lasts a long time.

Lily Mae is here

Little Lily Mae Rinehart has finally blessed us with her arrival. We went into the hospital this morning to be induced and the process started somewhere around 7:30am and our little flower breathed air for the first time at around 9:40 am. She weighed in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long.

One last time as a family of four.

The poor little angel was cold, even under a warmer.

Weighing in.

Mommy's getting a little lovin'.

It's almost time

Just to remind everyone that it is almost baby time. We are down to the last few weeks or maybe days. I want to remind all of you that visit our humble little part of the internet that we'll be posting pictures and stories of our upcoming little darling when she makes her grand appearance.

New Year's Eve

I think for the first time since we got married Jenni and I didn't spend New Year's Eve at home watchin Dick Clark alone. Yes, we are sad, sad people. Anyway, we went up to our friend's Jeff and Lori's house and hung out with them and a several other couples for the evening. We just simply played games and had adult conversations and just enjoyed the company for the evening. It was a really nice night and was a good way to usher in the New Year.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning has come and gone and we are finally sitting down to update everyone on our holiday festivities. We had a great holiday at home we spent Christmas Eve with the Faltys', we went to thier house for supper and then to church and of course opened some presents.

Then Christmas morning came and it really was the first one that both kids understood what was happening and they were so excited. Jonathon woke us up pretty early and suprised us by just coming into our bed for a little while. Then it finally dawned on him that Santa might have come and down the hall he ran. Kayla joined him and the Christmas morning excitement boiled over. Jonathon made out well he got a Leap Pad educational game, some jousting knight toys (pictured) and his Nana and Papi Rinehart gave him a pretty cool bull riding arena kit.

Kayla also did pretty well, she got a new princess and pony doll set and her big present was the Rose Petal Cottage playhouse. As you can see in the photo, she really likes it.

After the morning was over we moved down to Mom and Dad's and had Christmas dinner with them.
